HAYLEY MIRO BROWNE

Washboard

Daughter of the late, beloved jazz drummer, Allan Browne, Hayley began playing the washboard in the Margie Lou Dyer Quintet in support of her mother (Margie Lou Dyer) after her father’s death in 2015. Having been taught by her father to play drums since childhood, it was a natural progression to employ the techniques he taught her for the drums, on the washboard.
Hayley has been a regular member of her Mother’s quintet ever since and has performed at festivals, with several other bands including a gig in St Petersburg, Russia. Aside from music, Hayley is a film maker and photographer.
